Dunamis is a Greek word, from which we derive the English word dynamite, found in Acts 1 v 8 and it means ‘God’s Power’. We believe that everyone needs to experience the life changing power of God’s salvation which gives us purpose in our everyday lives. Dunamis continues to exist and to grow only by God’s blessing and the power of the Holy Spirit.
It is our aim to share the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to encourage young Christians in their walk with God through the Word of God, singing items of praise, missionary reports, testimonies and fellowship one with the other. The desire of the Dunamis committee is that the Lord would be pleased to do great things in our land through Christian young people and even the work of Dunamis. We believe that there is no limit on what the Lord can do through a life totally surrendered to him. If you have never been to Dunamis before, we would encourage you to join us any Saturday evening and we assure you of a warm welcome and an opportunity to enjoy fellowship with other young adults from all parts of Ireland. We look forward to what the Lord is going to do this season at dunamis as together we expect to be blessed, challenged and strengthened in our daily walk with God.
For those of you who are still unsaved, it is our prayer that, even through dunamis, you might realise the seriousness of your sin, the love that Christ has for you and the hope and happiness that is available to you if you just trust God by faith for salvation. We hope and pray that you might see a light shining from Dunamis into a dark and evil world and that you might lay your heavy burden on the Lord and enter into the joy of his salvation and experience the joy of sins forgiven and peace with God.
